Ms. Perrish shook her head in dismay. “I don’t care if the set is ablaze, the show must go on as written!”
Charlie tucked matches deeper into his pocket, and pondered another scheme to get out of drama club.
The prompt for the Shapeshifting 13 Challenge #60 at Grammar Ghoul Press was the question: "Why was the line cut?" (Word Count: 52).

So, truth be told, I never wanted to get out of Drama Club in high school--that was my life, back then. Honestly, it's the only thing I really remember about high school, and my love for theatre (acting, directing, everything) bled over into my adult life. For the past eight years, I've been in and out of the theatre community, participating in some way--mostly acting, but I stage managed one show two years ago which was a fantastic experience! My love for writing is pure and deep, but so is my love for the theatre! Putting the two together is an ultimate dream for me--writing plays that maybe I'll be able to star in would bring me such joy! Narcissistic goals, but oh well! The image above was taken during my senior year of high school for the yearbook--that was the Drama Club that year. Gosh, I seem so young there! Below are two more images taken from the yearbook. Enjoy!
